Bagel

I drove all the way to Queens to this bagel shop, Oasis Bagel, this morning.  The store got such great reviews from several food websites but it actually tastes like the breakfast truck downstair from my building, not chewy inside and not crunchy outside (what I define the 2 characteristics of a great bagel should have - chewy and crunchy)  At least the breakfast truck guy sells his bagel and coffee for $1 and this Oasis Bagel costs me $1 for bagel only.

I love bagel and I can have bagel every day so I always look for reviews of good bagel.  When I was in the college, there was this bagel shop at the end of the fraternity row.  I walked past by it everyday and bought 1 on the way to the class.  I always got blueberry bagel.  One day, my then Jewish boyfriend's mother came in town and saw me ordering blueberry bagel.  She said that was a gentile thing to do.  What did blueberry bagel do wrong?  Humm....

In any event, I still think Murray Bagel is still the best in the city and I don't have to drive to the Queens.
