Crazy Fish Dish

H E L L O from Taiwan!! I have been home for over a week now (Taiwan is still home to me because my parents and my sister still live here! even though I spent more years in my life in the states then my birth country).  And finally, my jet lag is gone except that I still have to get up at 5 a.m. to feed the baby.  Leo went back to the states to work today :(  Baby and I will join him in 9 days!!  Yeeeep!

Yesterday morning, my dad took Leo and I to this fish shack for breakfast.  There are only 3 big tables and we share 1 with 6 other people (yes, it is a pretty big round table).  In this fish shack, they only sell one kind of fish.  No English name because Western people simply just can't handle this fish.   There are so many bones in the fish it's not even funny.  There are only few things on the menu, stewed fish head with black bean (in the picture above); fried fish stomach; stewed fish intestine; omelet with fish intestine or oyster.  You might think who can eat this at all, never mind for breakfast.  There were so many people at this fish shack waiting for any space at any of these 3 big tables.  Once the shop opens, in 1 hour, all the fish intestine will be sold out!
I love this stewed fish head so much,  I had 4!  I don't know what my American born husband  thought of me when I dived into this fish head dish with my mouth full of fish bones.  It was so yummy.  Maybe Anthony Bourdain would like to try this???
