Tres can do 1 new trick

My friend, Sonia, stopped by the apartment the other day.  She did one amazing thing. (Sonia does many amazing things- she is not only my friend from law school, she was also a comedian, actress and mural artist).  

She taught Tres how to shake hand.  For almost 4 months, my husband and I have been trying to teach him tricks and Tres learned nothing.  We even went to the obedience school and spent boohoo money.  At the end of the class, Tres only knew "sit" and "stay" commands (which he already knew sit by the time we bought him).  But Sonia, without using the normal techniques that we learned at the obedience school such as giving treats and teaching each trick no more than 5 times, taught Tres how to shake hand.  We were so excited.  I kept shaking Tres' hand!!!
