Pillow

I have this huge wool blanket that I bought from Morocco (by the way, if you ever get the chance to go to Morocco, you have to buy a wool blanket, it is so cheap and so warm!).  The blanket is great in the winter but now the spring is here and I have no idea where to put it (as you can imagine the size of the apartment is just tiny and we ran out of storage space). 

Then I got this great idea of making a wool blanket case so that I can use it as a back pillow.  Why buy more stuff when I can find  a project to do in the house and save some space!

First step is to design what I want on the pillow.  I want something that makes me happy when I see it.  I decide to print " Love " on the pillow.  So, I made a stencil !

Mix the color and print on the fabric!  The picture on the top is the back of the pillow and the 2nd picture is the front of the pillow!  Easy!

Making a pillow is not a difficult task but for someone like me who does not like to sit and plan what shape I want and measure the whole nine yards.  I basically just take the wool blanket and make the shape I want, then cut the fabric and sew.  Viola!  I love it and I don't need to think about where to shuffle this wool blanket somewhere.  I can use this wool blanket pillow in the spring and summer!
