The Perfect Fruit

This is my perfect fruit, fig.  I saw them on the fruit stand yesterday and was so excited.  Summer would not be summer if figs did not show up at the market.  The temperature was 92 degree yesterday but it felt like 105 to me.  And today is supposed to be hotter then yesterday.  I am not sure if I can even go out of the house at all.

I had a wonderful weekend.  I don't know about you but for those mothers out there.  It is super important to have days off to keep the sanity.  I prefer to have a week off so that I can take a cooking class in France or Italy and drinking a glass (or 2) of wine looking over the vineyard.  That is not going to happen for another many years.

But I had a great weekend with my girlfriend at last.  It started with the back adjustment with my chiropractor followed with Latin American food at Boca Chica (how I miss the mojito and green chili shrimp and of course garlicky mojo with green plantain chips) and shopping at lower east side.  When we were tired, we were drinking beers at the Freeman's.  Then I had vietnamese food for dinner.   The next day, I had bikram yoga in the morning so that I can stretch my tired muscles.  In the afternoon, I had Maryland blue crabs in Brooklyn sitting by the salt water and drinking some beer.

You wonder who is watching my child.  Of course, my husband.  The father of the child!!  Life is good!!
